UPDATE: Mandatory evacuations for La Porte, Little Grass Valley Reservoir - Plumas County Newspapers

UPDATE 3:45 p.m.: The North Complex Fire is moving from Plumas County into Butte County and its Sheriff’s Office has upgraded the previous evacuation warning to an immediate evacuation order for Feather Falls and Clipper Mills. The evacuation order also includes Berry Creek, Brush Creek and Forbestown.During this afternoon’s briefing, the Forest Service is reporting that the new growth is now 15,000 to 20,000 acres and growing about 1,000 acres every half hour. The fire is burning parallel to the Middle Fork of the Feather River. The fire is reported burning through the crowns of trees and  has the potential to reach Lake Oroville.

Butte, Yuba and Plumas County residents are all being asked to check evacuation orders regularly, by visiting their Sheriff’s websites.

UPDATE 1:30 p.m.: The Butte County Sheriff’s Office is issuing an evacuation warning  for residents living in the communities of Feather Falls and Clipper Mills due to the North Complex Fire jumping over the Middle Fork today.
UPDATE 1:15 p.m.: Structure protection engines are being relocated from Bucks Lake to La Porte.
At approximately 10 a.m. this morning, the North Complex fire spotted over the Middle Fork of the Feather River and is burning south of the river resulting in a mandatory evacuation notice for La Porte and adjacent areas.
The town of La Porte and Little Grass Valley Reservoir including all residents, campgrounds, and recreational facilities off Little Grass Valley Road west of Quincy La Porte Road, are under a mandatory evacuation order. (This includes Silver Tip Springs, Beach Drive, Onion Circle, Fiddleneck Road, and all other roads connecting and in that area around the reservoir). 
A mandatory evacuation is also in effect for Quincy La Porte Road from Onion Valley to the County Line. The Quincy La Porte Road is closed except for those evacuating south on Quincy La Porte Road toward Yuba County.
Emergency responders are en route to issue door to door notifications!
The fire quickly grew to 1,000 acres.
