Mason Little, 64, of Rosenberg, Texas, formerly of Metairie, La., and Hazleton, passed away suddenly Sept. 14 following a brief illness.
He was born May 12, 1957, in Richmond, Ind., to James and Barbara Little. He graduated in 1975 from Talawanda High School, and from Bob’s Truck Driving School, both of Oxford, Ohio.
Mason worked in the transportation industry most of his life and was employed as a truck driver for over the last decade for Hazel’s Expedited Freight in Carrollton, Texas.
Mason never knew a stranger and everyone who knew him loved him and he will be missed by many. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, his willingness to lend a helping hand, his dedication and love for his family, friends and his fur babies, Lovie, Cheech and Breesy. Mason enjoyed playing golf, bowling and working together with Kyle on their 1964 Impala.
Mason was preceded in death by his parents, James and Barbara Little; in-laws, John and Agnes Jones; sister, Connie Behm; brother, Paul Little; brother-in-law, Jeff Jones; and stepfather, John Hartnett.
Mason is survived by his wife of 31 years, Dianna Jones Little, and son, Kyle M. Little, both of Rosenberg, Texas; daughter, Holly and spouse, Craig Guillot, Harahan, Louisiana; brothers, Walter and spouse, Angela Little, Metairie, La.; and Ernie Little, Kentucky; sisters-in-law, Terry Alshefski and Jackie and spouse, James Peca, both of Drums; and Stephanie Jones, Rosenberg, Texas; brother-in-law, Jack and spouse, Laura Jones, Prairieville, La.; granddaughters, Madeleine and Marcella Guillot, both of Harahan, La.; and stepfather, Ronald Pearce, Morristown, Tenn. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
A memorial service celebrating Mason’s life will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Nov. 6 at Caballero Ryder Funeral Home, 722 Grillo Way, Rosenberg, Texas, with a prayer service presided by Pastor Kelly.
