Literacy Volunteers seeks donations of children’s books in good condition to fill Little Conch House Libraries that are “popping up” throughout the Florida Keys.
New little libraries are currently being constructed through “Project Synergy” thanks to a grant from Community Foundation of the Florida Keys. Currently LVA has little libraries at the Gato Building, Wesley House, Literacy Volunteers, Pepe’s Café and Island Life Village mobile home park featuring multi-cultural selections including English-Creole children’s books.
People with children’s books to donate or who would like to be a little library volunteer can call 305-294-4352, text 305-304-0578, or stop by Literacy Volunteers at 2405 North Roosevelt Blvd., Key West, or visit http://www.lva-monroe.org
