Baseball players attended their first preseason skills camp at North Springs Community Park on Sunday.
Led by Head Coach of Coral Springs Charter and local high school players, members of the North Springs Little League attended the first of four camps in January. Children ages 4-7 took the field for an hour, followed by 8-9-year-olds and then ten and over.
“It is always good to be able to give back to the community that most of my players grew up in,” said Coach Fine. “This is a great opportunity for young players to work on some fundamentals of baseball, all while interacting with high school athletes.”
During the first clinic, they worked on fielding ground balls and, on Jan. 16, will transition to fly balls, then hitting on Jan. 23, and a scrimmage on Jan. 30. Those interested in joining can register with North Springs Little League or walk-ins for $10 a day.
