Anne Gobes and Mike Ciccarelli of the Cape Newagen Alpaca Farm, for a second year, showed their generosity by joining the Southport Island Association in the annual Winter Walk Feb. 20.
Both Big Kids and Little Kids had fun and learned a lot about the life of an alpaca. We also learned from the alpacas themselves as we were steered in the right direction by “Zara,” the Farm's lead alpaca. “Dany” and “Berry” were equally fun and enjoyed kissing the kids as we the trekked to the Newagen Landing.
Each year this event brings out all who are getting “cabin fever” and need some fun with others. SIA members Sandra Seifert and Laura Blake organized the day and surprised the kids with gifts. Say thanks to Ann and Mike by visiting the farm and gift shop, a coastal woodland alpaca farm on Wawenock land on Southport Island. Yarns from the alpacas, accessories, activities, alpaca tours and treks are available by calling 633-0416 or book online https://www.capenewagenfarm.com
Who knows, you might just see the newborn of Berry, who is expected to deliver soon.
