PROVO – It’s a night to celebrate in Provo as BYU gets a taste of the Big 12 era in their matchup against Baylor. But BYU took the time to honor another team from the state made some noise this summer. The Snow Canyon baseball team, who earned Utah’s first berth in the Little League World Series in August, were given a rousing applause from Cougar fans in attendance Saturday night during the second quarter.

Utah Little League World Series Team Honored By BYU
The Snow Canyon baseball team representing Utah became the first team from Utah to qualify for the Little League World Series in August. Team Utah was eliminated after two losses in the double-elimination tournament.
The team saw support around the state of Utah as they made their run to the Little League World Series. Many more were routing for Team Utah after player Easton Oliverson was hospitalized after a fall from a bunk bed. BYU sent the player a care package during his stay in the hospital.
