AMHERST, Mass. – Competing against two of the top programs in the country, the Wesleyan women's cross country team ran a great race on Saturday at the Little Three Championship hosted by Amherst. The Cardinals placed two runners in the Top 10 while recording 60 points, just four shy of Williams' 56. Amherst came away with the title, the program's first since 2007. The Mammoths won the meet, securing four of the first five finishers, with the fifth being Miranda Graves '23. Graves placed in the Top 5 for the first time in her career in a Little Three Championship meet. She posted a time of 22:31.6 to take down the fifth place result.

A second Cardinal Top 10 finisher was Stephanie Ager '26 as the first-year is making a strong early impression, placing eighth overall on Saturday. Ager averaged just over a six-minute mile pace, crossing the line in 22:37.8 to leg out a great result.

Itzel Valdez '23 ran one of the best races of her career, placing 16th overall in just her second career Little Three appearance, while she crossed the line in a personal-best 6k time of 24:08.4.

Rounding out the scoring for the Cardinals was Jane Hollander '23 in 18th place with a time of 24:18.2 while Nadia Lim '26 was right behind in 19th place at 24:19.1.

Wesleyan enjoys an off week before heading to the Paul Short Run on in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania on Friday, September 30.
