Little Giants Finish Second At Stateline Shootout - sports.wabash.edu

Wabash finished the final round of the 2022 Stateline Shootout by carding a 309 to finish second out of nine teams over the two-day tournament at Miami Whitewater Forest Golf Course.
 
Junior Brayden Weiss and freshman Sean Bledsoe finished in a tie for fourth place in the individual standings. Weiss shot a 74 on Sunday after scoring a 78 in Saturday's opening round. Bledsoe scored a 79 in the final round after shooting a 73 on Saturday. The duo shot a two-round score of 152, joined by James Gilmore and Connor Polomsky from DePauw University. Bledsoe tied for the most birdies over the two-day tournament with six. Wiess turned in five birdies overall for the weekend.
 
Tim Neu finished eighth overall with a total of 78 strokes on Sunday for a two-day score of 153, finishing one stroke back of Weiss and Bledsoe. Neu shot 21 pars for the weekend to rank sixth in that category. Mark Poole tied for 12th place by finishing with a two-day total of 153 after shooting a 78 on Sunday. Poole tied for the best par-four scoring of the weekend with an average of 4.18 strokes. Miles Patterson finished eight strokes off the overall scores of Weiss and Bledsoe to finish in a tie for 24th place with a two-round tally of 160 strokes after firing an 83 on Sunday.
 
Wabash finished second in the overall team scoring with a two-round score of 611 (302-309) strokes. DePauw won the nine-team tournament by carding a 606 (305-301) for the weekend. Centre College finished third overall, scoring 614 strokes (309-305).
 
The Little Giants will host the annual Wabash Fall Invitational October 10-11 at Broadmoor Country Club in Indianapolis.
