Personal Best Abound In Little Giant Regional Competition - sports.wabash.edu

Wabash used its final meet of the season to post personal-best times by all seven runners competing at the 2022 NCAA Division III Great Lakes Cross Country Regional. The Little Giants finished 17th out of 38 teams.

Brayden Curnutt raced to a top-50 spot in the field by finishing 49th out of a field of 272 runners with a career-best performance. The sophomore completed the 8,000-meter course in 25:20.4. Thomas Gaines rebounded from a tough performance at the conference meet to capture 83rd place with a career-best time of 25:41.5.

Joe Barnett trimmed nearly two minutes off his time at the conference meet with a career-best effort of 26.19.3 to finish 121st overall. Justin Santiago turned in a career-best time to finish 141st with a time of 26:36.7. Will Neubauer broke the 27-minute mark for the second time in his career by completing Saturday's race in a career-best time of 26:42.5 to earn 145th place.

Jacob Sitzman turned in his best career time of 27:24.6 to finish 176th. Matthew Meyer added his career-best effort by finishing with a time of 28:34.7 to place 218th.

Wabash finished with a score of 539 points. John Carroll won the team championship with 48 points.
