We have the EXCLUSIVE first look at the trailer for The Asylum’s animated version of The Little Mermaid, now in theatres!

Disney’s live-action remake of their animated classic The Little Mermaid is now in theatres (you can read our review HERE) – and also in theatres right now is The Asylum’s own animated version of the classic story! We have the EXCLUSIVE first look at the trailer for The Asylum’s version of The Little Mermaid, and you can check it out in the embed above.

Directed by Michael Johnson (Battle Oasis) from a screenplay by Anna Rasmussen (Shark Side of the Moon), The Asylum’s The Little Mermaid has the following synopsis: In this “half-fish” out-of-water animated adventure, a mermaid princess makes a bargain with a sea witch to become human. On land, the princess discovers just how much she loves the surface world and must decide how much she is willing to sacrifice to stay there.

The Little Mermaid is based on a story Hans Christian Andersen originally wrote in 1837. Other Andersen stories include The Emperor’s New Clothes, The Princess and the Pea, Thumbelina, and The Ugly Duckling.

The voice cast for The Asylum’s The Little Mermaid includes Dee Wallace as the Sea Witch Revina, Steve Guttenberg as King Jasper, Tammy Klein as Queen Opal, Sharon Desiree as Skyler, Myrom Kingery as King Maris, Sonya Krueger as the Mermaid Princess Sereia, Nicolas Greco as Monty, Courage as Prince Lucas, Ryan Ebert as Caspian, Samantha Cooper as Sandra, Alex Lizotte as Sheldon, Fiona Jones as Dowager Sea Queen Narissa, Chad David as King Parth, Roanna Cruz as Sienna, and Maria Eliades as Princess Dhara.

The movie is showing at the following theatres across the United States:

Laemmle Monica Film Center – Santa Monica, CA

Hickory Ridge Cinemas – Brunswick, OH

Trylon Cinema – Minneapolis, MN

O Cinema South Beach – Miami Beach, FL

Aurora Cineplex – Roswell, GA

If you don’t live near one of those theatres, don’t worry: The Little Mermaid has also received a digital release, so you can watch it in the comfort of your own home.
