According to a release from the American Red Cross, one person was killed and 11 people were displaced as a result of the Saturday evening fire. NEWSChannel 2 has calls out to the Little Falls Police and Fire Departments to get more information.

LITTLE FALLS, N.Y. -- Firefighters in Herkimer County battled a house fire on Furnace Street in Little Falls on Saturday night.

The call for the fire at 36 Furnace Street came in just after 10:00 p.m. Saturday.

Crews from Little Falls, Herkimer, Ilion and Salisbury are on-scene.

Roads near the fire scene were closed down as firefighters worked to extinguish that fire.
